Job Description

Busy Executive Couple is seeking a House Manager for their vacation home in Aspen, CO. Principals are generally in residence for two weeks over Christmas and New Year’s, Presidents’ week, Spring break, 2 or 3 months over the summer, with occasional short visits (2-3 days) throughout the year. At times, they may be joined by their children, grandchildren and/or guests. Residence is pet-free.

This position is generally five days a week when Principals are not in residence, but must be on call 7 days a week for emergencies, alarms, deliveries, etc. House Manager will be expected to be available to work nights, weekends and some holidays when Principals are in residence, if needed. This home is highly technical so some knowledge of high-level AV systems is mandatory. Duties include making sure supplies are provisioned and house is well stocked prior to family visits. Manager will liaise with family P.A. and Chef when necessary.

• Act as liaison between Principals and outside property management company
• Manage, oversee and support two full time housekeepers (including timekeeping and schedules)
• Maintain household vendor list and maintenance schedule
• Schedule necessary service, maintenance and repairs with approved vendors
• Arrange regular/routine maintenance (seasonal and otherwise) in keeping with established Household Maintenance Schedule
• Solid knowledge of caring for fine art and household finishes
• Oversee and assist with entertaining, event planning, floral arrangements, table setting and service support
• Airport pick-ups and drop-offs (currently Property Manager provides this support)
• Errand running, shipping & receiving
• Luggage assistance, packing & unpacking along with housekeepers
• Work closely with chefs and outside property management company
• Flipping seasonal closets
