Health Center Receptionist

Part Time Days / up to $21 per hour

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Health Center Receptionist for Faith Mission in Columbus, Ohio.

Faith Mission is one of the largest homeless shelters in Columbus, Ohio , providing meals and shelter to men, women and Veterans with dignity and compassion. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need.

What will I do as the Health Center Receptionist with Lutheran Social Services?

• Welcome and assist all visitors when they arrive at the reception area Health Center or Agency.
• Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling, rescheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Maintain the Vision Store receptionist desk at all times while clinic is in progress.
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Works with Health Center staff to ensure the quality delivery of health-related services and helps perform outreach and accommodation for walk-in's to Health Center.
• Assist with maintaining proper patient records, including scanning, cataloging and entering information into Health Center data bases. Filing, faxing, copying, organizing, and other general office and reception duties.
• Verify patient appointments via phone two days before the appointment and update the patients' record on the status of the phone call.

Requirements for the Health Center Receptionist with Lutheran Social Services:

• High school education or equivalent required
• One year customer service experience, preferably in a health care setting
• Able to type 50 wpm
• Computer experience required, Microsoft Office preferred
