About the location:
The Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences at Puerto Rico is a collection of 139 hotel rooms and 84 private residences. Situated on 483 acres with two miles of beach frontage, award-winning golf, an expansive wildlife sanctuary, nature trails and a lagoon complete with paddle boarding, fishing, and a water playground.About the role:
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the revenue strategies and interpretation of business analytics, data, and trends. Providing expertise to guide and direct the resorts Yield Teams through effective and measurable revenue management initiatives and tactical strategies. The priority will be room revenue, with a focus on total resort revenue management including but not limited to spa, food & beverage, recreation, and ancillary revenue sources. The Director of Revenue Management will independently make daily pricing and inventory decisions that result in positive business results and provide valuable insights and recommendations that result in positive revenue gains. This position is a Department Head level and reports to the Commercial Director.
What you will do:
Interpret business analytics into meaningful action to improve performance
Manage rates and inventory in all distribution channels
Initiate pricing analysis and recommendations
Own and be responsible for the consistent execution of the Revenue Management strategy, systems, tools and processes of the entire resort
Perform against goals and objectives established by the DOM
Performance & analysis reporting, short-term forecasts, sellout management, inventory, and pricing 90 day and all high-demand dates.
365 Inventory & pricing/13-month inventory and pricing strategy
Report on business optimization studies, marketing and customer behavior, competitive intelligence, forecasting and statistical data, budgeting support, etc.
Supports the Group and Leisure sales teams on making the best business decisions relating to pricing, ancillary spend, displacement, concessions, and liabilities.
Understand and identify brand pricing, promotional, marketing and eCommerce initiatives and recommendations that should be implemented not only for compliance but to maximize revenues.
Monitors and ensures rate integrity between Fourseasons.com and all other distribution channels. Work with the WRO Distribution and Central Systems Support teams to ensure the resort has optimal website display for rates and promotions.
Maintain all revenue management related systems; IDeaS, Power BI/ RevFinder, Opera PMS, Golden Sales & Catering
What you will bring:
Ability to present a contrarian viewpoint and gain consensus through business analytics
Strong IT (Information Technology) foundation is required: Proficient in Excel, Opera, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Windows. Knowledge of PowerBI, Ideas RMS and Hotelligence is an asset
Experience working in a sales / revenue management environment. Ability to effectively develop and deploy hotel inventory and yield management strategies in a multi-property environment that support individual Hotel revenue goals, as well as corporate revenue management initiatives
Excellent analytical skills and ability to demonstrate key insights translated to fact-based decision-making
Completed a minimum four (4) year university degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Hotel Management
Four (4) years' experiences working in hotel revenue management or similar business analytics and strategy role
Knowledge of current economic conditions about, and its impact on, the travel and lodging industry (cause and effect relationships), with expertise on the managed asset's local marketplace.
