Requirements:
• Current Virginia licensure as a BCBA-D by the Virginia Board of Medicine
• Certification as a BCBA-D by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation
Responsibilities:
• Deliver BCBA-D services in accordance with federal/state special education laws and local school policies.
• Implement behavior assessments, data-driven intervention strategies, and behavior intervention plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert consultation to school staff and families.
• Document services in measurable terms, including student name, date, type, and duration of service.
• Provide monthly invoices and reports to the school division.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and division-specific policies.
• Support positive student behavior and academic engagement through collaboration and modeling.
• Assist with staff training and professional development as requested.
• Comply with ethical and legal standards, including those related to student safety and professional conduct.
• Ensure clear, timely communication with the Director of Special Education.
• Any other duties as assigned.
