Role Snapshot

The Advanced Equipment Maintainer tackles tasks relating to plant equipment installation, startup, and ongoing maintenance. Additional roles may be slotted in as situations demand.

Your Duties

Proactive Equipment Care (40%)

  • Undertake routine maintenance such as lubrication, belt changes, and equipment inspections for steadfast reliability.
  • Assist production teams during top-to-bottom maintenance work.
  • Identify and input key maintenance tasks into the CMMS to enhance machine reliability.
  • Optimize operational cycles for peak equipment performance.

Equipment Servicing (25%)

  • Install, repair, and sustain mechanical machinery vital to production.
  • Efficiently remove and replace faulty machine parts.
  • Optimize the use of resources to refurbish machinery to OEM specifications.
  • Address facility and infrastructure repair needs as highlighted.

Troubleshooting Expertise (25%)

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic irregularities in machinery and facilities.
  • Pinpoint problem sources through vigilant observation of operational equipment.
  • Leverage proper tools to verify equipment issues.
  • Amplify machine output by enhancing cycle efficiencies.

Administrative Responsibilities (10%)

  • Log all activity into company CMMS accurately.
  • Submit end-of-shift communication reports.
  • Order necessary replacements and repair components.
  • Cooperate with other departments to arrange repair schedules and downtimes.
  • Uphold workplace cleanliness.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • An associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred
  • A minimum of five years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Skill Set and Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong English language skills, both verbal and written (Spanish skills advantageous)

Travel Demands

  • Minimal travel as required

Physical Demands

  • Pre-employment physical exam clearance
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 80%-85% of the work shift
  • Ability to sit for 25% of work duration
  • Functions requiring twisting, bending existed for up to 75% of the workday
  • Perform tasks at heights and manage flights of stairs if needed

Skills You Bring:

  • PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics proficiency
  • Skilled in both equipment repair and preventative care
  • Electrical troubleshooting, repair, and wiring experience
  • Pneumatic systems understanding
  • Hydraulic systems familiarity
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
